Delegates Selected for Educational Youth Tour
Rich Mountain Electric Cooperative selected five delegates to represent the co-op on the 2026 Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, D.C.
The delegates were:
- Jordan Lyle from Acorn High School
- Cole Schauble from Mena High School
- Emily Watts from Mena High School
- Leah Allen from Dierks High School
- Eilam Holland from Acorn High School
The delegates explored the nation’s capital June 13-19 with delegates from the other Arkansas electric cooperatives.
The group joined approximately 2,000 students from across the United States in the nation’s capital. During the trip, they learned about electric cooperatives, toured historic sites, monuments and museums and met members of the Arkansas congressional delegation.
High school juniors may apply for the Youth Tour each year. Applications for the 2027 Youth Tour will be available in February at rmec.com/youth-tour, at co-op offices and in high school counselors’ offices.
