In 1942, the electric cooperatives pooled their resources to form a statewide association, Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., (AECI). The statewide organization provides services or the distribution co-ops, including electrical equipment and supplies, construction and right-of-way services, governmental affairs, training and communications, including publishing Arkansas Living magazine.
