Sparking joy and light

December 7th, 2023

Many of us eagerly anticipate the holidays. The season is marked by special foods, festive decorations and lots of celebrations.

We cherish carrying on old traditions and enjoy creating new ones, as we spend time with family and friends.

Amid the hustle and bustle of the season, the holidays can also offer an opportunity to slow down and reflect. From all of us at Rich Mountain Electric, we are grateful for you, the members
of the co-op.

You see, one of our founding principles as a co-op is “Concern for Community.” While our main focus is providing affordable, reliable and responsible energy, we want to give back. We want to help our community thrive.

Looking back

In reflecting on this past year, we’re grateful that we were able to make a positive impact on the community through many contributions. We invested in our community through our employees’ involvement and our support of local organizations and events.

We were also grateful to partner with local schools to raise awareness of the importance of electrical safety.

Supporting our youth by sending students on Youth Tour, our educational trip to Washington, D.C., was another highlight.

We assisted our community by providing information about beneficial services and programs and helping members find ways to save energy at home.

Looking ahead

Rich Mountain Electric is locally owned and locally controlled. We are community-focused, with a mission to deliver reliable, responsible and affordable energy to our members. We live in the communities we serve. We are your family, friends and neighbors. As we look ahead to 2024, we remain committed to serving you and our community. Our employees and board members of Rich Mountain Electric wish you a happy and blessed Christmas!
