State Sales Tax Exemption for low-income families

Under the present Arkansas law, residential customers whose income is $12,000 or less per year are eligible to claim an exemption from sales tax on the first 500 kilowatt hours of electricity used each month.
If you qualify for this exemption, you must fill out the form and return it to us at 515 Janssen Ave., P.O. Box 897, Mena, AR, 71953-0897.
If you are already receiving the sales tax exemption and your income has not changed since you filed in 2022, you do not have to refile in 2023.
